Musical Youth is a quality after-school program for elementary school-age students. The students are exposed to multicultural experiences through music, therefore, enhancing their opportunities for the future. Through this structured program, students learn how to play musical instruments with the help of program staff and volunteers. The volunteers are compromised of professional musicians, members of the faith community, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Union University and the University of Richmond students and staff. Students also learn musical appreciation through classroom presentation and community-sponsored events.
